Super stay, thank you
Tips:We ate at the Aspendos Turkish restaurant and the Walrus and Corkscrew and can highly recomend both. Although the Walrus and Corkscrew only serves cold platters they are excellent and their wine list is to die for!

We were given a warm welcome and found the landlady to be very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely room which had extras like paper tissues, bottled water and toiletries for us. Breakfast was delicious and served in a well presented room. A dedicated parking space for each room was great too!
Tips:Try Hui Hui Mei, an Asian restaurant which is walking distance from the Guest House but be sure to book as it is very popular.

I really enjoyed my short stay here, I had a very warm welcome on arrival on a grim wet day and nothing was too much trouble - my bike was safely looked after in a secure area and I was offered use of a hose to clean it if I needed. My room was lovely, bright and warm - I had the best shower and a great night's sleep followed by a lovely breakfast before heading off on my bike again. Thank you.
Tips:Inverness is a lovely place and I will definitely come back again. I was on a whistle stop visit so not much opportunity to have a good look around.

Beautiful house, painstakingly restored and very tastefully furnished. Andrea and her husband were friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, comfortable beds, couldn't be better.
Tips:Perhaps not the closest guest house to the city, but worth the walk. And half way to Caley Cruisers if that's your next stop.

This was a last minute booking for us, but what a find. A friendly welcome and the room was clean and comfortable with a great en suite shower room. A fantastic choice for breakfast, my scrambled eggs and smoked salmon were perfect. Far better stay than a Premier Inn. It was also so close to town it made finding somehwere to eat very easy. We hope to be back again.
Tips:We stayed on a Monday night so you will find some recommended restaurants closed. However, we visited Prime. Lovely food but a bit pricey. It is an easy walk to many restaurants so you will find something in your budget.

We stayed at Ardmeanach for two nights and enjoyed our trip very much. Andrea, the owner, was very friendly and happy to help us organise our activities during our stay. The room was very comfortable and a really lovely space to enjoy.
Tips:The B&B is a short walk (10 mins) from the riverfront in a quieter area of town. If you want to eat on a Friday or Saturday night, there are plenty of options in town but without a booking it may take you a while to find somewhere that can seat you. Beautiful period house, all covid procedures in place so there's no concern there. The blue room was lovely and overlooking the rear garden.First time we've slept in a four poster bed. Our host was very knowledgable in local information.
Tips:We've been to Inverness a few times so didn't bother going to the shops especially having to wear masks. We took a run up to Ullapool as we'd never been north of the Kessock bridge. Recommend a visit to the Black Isle and Chanenry Point to see if the dolphins are there. As far as restaurants go there's something for everyone in Inverness. If we single out one place it would be Kool Runnings Caribbean Restaurant for something different. Charming house, wonderful and friendly hostess and an excellent location. There was a nice variety of delicious home-cooked breakfasts and super service.
Tips:The Waterfront Restaurant was great for food, whiskey and traditional music. Hootenanny’s was also a nice venue to eat and enjoy local music. Be sure to visit the Inverness Castle view, the old churches and graveyards, Leakey’s Bookstore, and take a walk along the Ness River. Nearby sights to see include the Culloden Battlefield, Clara Cairns, Cawdor Castle and gardens, and of course the Loch Ness. A cruise to the Uruquardt Castle ruins, or kayaking on the Loch is a must.

Tips:10 minute walk from town on the level. Visit to Dunrobin Castle a must, we ate at Bella Italia in the town which was very good, coach to Lock Ness from the bus station, you can also buy your cruise tickets there. Do the Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh by train for some lovely scenery and a visit to Plockton although the railway station is at the top of the hill about 0.9 miles so be prepared for walk back up the hill.

This was our second visit to Ardmeanach House and we have already booked again for next year! This is a fantastic guest house that offers warm, comfortable and spacious accommodation that is only rivalled by the warm welcome from the owners. Situated a short stroll from the amenities of the city centre, it offers a quiet location that is ideal for a good night’s sleep while being well placed to access the many restaurants and bars in the heart of Inverness. There is an extensive breakfast menu offering a wide variety of very tasty options that genuinely set you up for the day. We stayed here while I participated in Etape Loch Ness both this year and last and even though I had to be at the start line for 05:50, the owners were incredibly accommodating offering breakfast at 05:15 - a very generous gesture that was much appreciated!

Stayed here in March '19 with my fiance, and we absolutely loved it! The location was convenient and quiet, and relatively easy to find. We stayed in the Thistle Room, which was clean and cozy, and had a really nice scent. Loved the decor, too. The bed was probably the comfiest we had our whole trip. Since we were fortunate enough to stay two nights, we were graced with not one, but two lovely breakfasts, which were delicious. The full Scottish was stellar, and the porridge was easily the best I've ever had. Would definitely come back. :)

I would suggest visiting Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Cawdor Castle & Beauly as well as taking time to explore Inverness. No 27 Bar & Restaurant is a must - excellent food and first-class service. Booking in the summer is essential as it's popular with locals and visitors.

Our hostess gave us a warm welcome, helped us get settled, and provided an excellent recommendation for dinner. The bed was comfortable, and the breakfast ample and delicious. We'd made arrangements to travel by bus to the the airport after checkout to pick up a rental car next morning. We asked to leave our bags and pick them up later, and were warmly accommodated even when it took until 1:00 PM to return. We have absolutely no reservations in recommending Ardmeanarch House and its hosts. We'll certainly return if the opportunity presents itself.

From the warm welcome to a fond farewell, our stay at Ardmeanach House was everything we could ask for. Our bedroom, the thistle room, was very clean, well proportioned and appointed with all the amenities we needed for our stay. The bed was extremely comfortable - perfect for a good night’s sleep the night before Etape Loch Ness and for resting my weary bones the night after. I really appreciated Andrea getting up at 5.00am to make porridge for us cyclists on the morning of the Etape and the more leisurely breakfast the next day was plentiful and very tasty indeed. All in all this was an excellent stay in a quiet area that was only a short walk to all the amenities in the city centre. Can’t recommend highly enough - indeed the first thing we did when we returned home was book again for next year’s Etape!
Tips:We really enjoyed our visit to Number 27 Bar and Restaurant (also owned by the owners of Ardmeanach House)

Beautiful B&B within easy reach of Inverness town centre. Our bedroom was fabulous, with the most amazing bed. A four poster so big, you had to use the steps provided to climb into it's sumptuous comfort. Our only disappointment was the pre-packed croissants. You only received the pre packed croissants as you were having an early self served breakfast as you were catching an early bus my croissants are normally sensed warm and fresh during breakfast hours of 8-9.30 am. Such a lovely, homely and inviting place to stay! We loved coming back to this beautiful house at the end of each day, would definitely stay here again. An easy walk into town, a good breakfast, welcoming hosts, comfortable rooms and reliable facilities.
Tips:Walks down the river Ness and over the bridges across it to the pretty little islands. We chose the Jacobite Temptation tour to see Loch Ness, a great hassle free tour which takes you from and back to Inverness city centre. Spent a day on the Kyle Line, such beautiful scenery and got off at Plockton for a few hours, walking along on their pretty harbour and stopping in nice pubs and also a great fish & chips kiosk. At Kyle of Lochalsh we had a beautiful clear day so could see across to the aisle of Skye. Our favourite places in town was the Zizzi's Italian restaurant, also the Castle Tavern with views of the castle, Johnny Foxes and not least spent a good hour in Leakeys Secondhand Bookstore - a beautiful place for a peruse of old books!

The door on our room was a bit challenging, but a minor detail - I was however really disappointed to come back to our room mid morning first day, to be met with the cleaner who had clearly just "borrowed" a spray of my expensive perfume! When I stay in accommodation I expect that I can leave my belongings behind and no-one will touch them - makes me wonder though!

Tips:We ate dinner at Number 27 in Castle Street. Very good food and friendly service. Favourite thing to do in Inverness is to walk along the river and cross the islands upstream. Also drove to the Black Isle and had coffee at the Beachside Cafe. Would be lovely on a sunny day with possibility of seeing dolphins.

Breakfast choice excellent and presented well. Any queries we had about places to go we had detailed information given. All round enjoyable stay.

So friendly, warm and sincere. Very helpful in every respect. A kind reminder in this time and day of what true highland hospitality means. Breakfast menu - each to his own, from continental, right through to the best any officianado of cooked breakfast one could wish for, and anything in between ! Well done
Tips:Beyond reason of doubt, highlight gastronomically was Nr.27 Pub and Restaurant, - 27 Castle Street, Inverness. Very central, easy to find, and very busy, so book in advance, mine host will help you. Service unquestionably excellent, chef and staff visible to your gaze. Goes without question, food was excellent with a fine selection of wines, beers, and spirits. Do not be put off by the initial impression of a very busy public house, the craik was maybe loud, but very conducive and only added to the overall experience of people genuinely enjoying themselves. That was a Saturday evening,to remember, and my thanks to all the staff

Grand old house on quiet suburban street, just a 10 minute stroll from the city centre. Welcoming hosts, comfortable room with bright modern en suite and a varied breakfast menu that many hotels would struggle to match. Highly recommended.
Tips:Plenty to do and see in the area: Culloden Battlefield Site (Nat. Trust) is well worth a visit with an impressive display in the Visitor Centre; Loch Ness is just a short drive away - drive around or take a cruise; to sample the real spirit of the Highlands drive along Glen Affric - majestic mountain, riverside, waterfall and lake scenery and not a tour bus in sight. In town Number 27 is a good choice - pub/restaurant owned by our B&B hosts, with a more interesting menu than most, tasty, well prepared food and some great beers to sample. Also excellent is Rajah Indian restaurant near the Post Office - best selection of Balti dishes we've come across and not afraid to spice things up if you like a hotter curry.

Very friendly welcome with information on local area and restaurants. Room very comfortable and clean. The full cooked breakfast was delicious and there was also other options on the menu inc hot crossiants with bacon & cheese, there was also a variety of fruit, cereal and yoghurts. We had a wonderful stay. Andrea was very welcoming and helpful in every way. Would definitely stay again, and recommend it to others. It is very convenient for walking into the city, and was also wonderful to have parking for our rental car.
Tips:The Italian restaurant was wonderful. Little Italy, I think was its name. We loved the cruise on Loch Ness, and walking round Culloden battle field, went to the beach at Nairn, and saw the Clava cairn. Loved Leakey's Bookshop in an old church downtown - a world-famous book store.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ardmeanach House. Location is 10 mins walk to the town centre and perfect for the A82 for a drive to Loch Ness and beyond. The room we stayed in was lovely and very clean, with all the facilities you would need. Breakfast was excellent, it was fresh and tasty and set us up for the day. Andrea as host was perfect, very welcoming and made us feel at home.

Had an absolutely lovely stay at Ardmeanach House! The host was lovely and had prepped a map for me with lots of places to visit in my short stay. The house has real character and is warm, cosy, and very clean. The room (I stayed in a twin) was great, really nice bed, modern bathroom, lots of clean thick towels. Breakfast was amazing - and I like a nice breakfast! All in all, I had a fanastic two days and having Ardmeanach House as my base was an absolute stroke of genius! THANKYOU AGAIN!!!!
Tips:Inverness is a very short walk down the hill and there are some really great places to have a drink and a chat with a stranger or two. Went in a place called Gellions on the Friday night and watched a superb band. The Castle Tavern was great - had a fantastic grilled smoked haddock there. But 100% check out the nearby Dores Inn for cracking food, with a monster or two in the background.

Such a friendly service and included everything we could possibly need. We particularly liked the charging station for all our devices! Delicious breakfast in the mornings with lots of choice and very generous portions. We would definitely recommend this to our friends. Thank you for a lovely stay and I am sure we will be back again!

Very friendly welcome? Beautiful house. Room clean and comfortable. Had everything I needed. Was given all the information about wifi, breakfasts, etc without having to ask. I was leaving early before the usual time for breakfast but it was made for me no problem? The full breakfast is delish and looks exactly like the picture on the website. Defo go back again.

We had a really comfy stay at Ardmeanach House. We were received with a warm welcome after a chilling motorcycle ride along the banks of Loch Ness. The room was very clean, and the center of Inverness was just a 10 minutes walk away. A big plus for the motorcycle riders is the private parking away from the street at the back of the house. I would recommend this B&B to anyone.

Hosts very welcoming and helpful. Happy to lay on a basic breakfast at 0530 (toast/cereal) provided you are willing to help yourself! Rooms clean and comfortable. So good, we stayed another night!
Tips:Within a 5-10 minute walk of the centre of Inverness so shops, Edne Court Theatre, etc all close by.

Very welcoming and accommodating staff, always available to help out. Good location, about 15 minutes walk to downtown. Excellent old house with great features. Good breakfast, and comfy large rooms.
Tips:Drive down the quiet side of Loch Ness, stop off at the Whitebridge Hotel for some genuine Highland hospitality. The Castle Tavern was the best pub in town, and the Lock ness Brewery at the Benleva Hotel in Drumnadrochit is worth tracking down.

Great facilities. Slept long and well. Shower OK. Breakfast great. Helpful over parking.
Tips:Walk into town - parking is atrocious, especially while they are doing the flood control improvements. Lunched at the kitchen restaurant. Filled up at ASDA, hot chocolate on church street and at waterstones.

Delightful stay, excellent comfortable room and bed and a breakfast as good asI've had anywhere else. My only slight )very very slight gripe) was the lack of BBC 1 and 2 on the bedroom TV. I didn't say anything though so I shouldn't really moan!

Ardmeanach House is a really great B&B. It was so refreshing to have a room that was genuinely spacious - not like a lot of hotels and B&Bs where the rooms are small and cramped. Thanks very much for your help with last minute printing (!) and being so welcoming.
